He reminded them that the Radiographers Registration Board of Nigeria, established by Decree 42 of 1987 (now CAP R1 LFN 2004), exists to regulate the practice of Radiography in Nigeria and ensure global standards are maintained.

“The oath you have taken today is not just a formality,” Prof. Okeji stated, “it is a lifelong commitment to serve humanity with diligence, competence, and compassion. Radiography is a critical component of healthcare delivery, and you must uphold the ethics and responsibilities that come with this noble profession.”

He further highlighted the vision of RRBN to position Radiography as a leading health profession in Nigeria and its mission of promoting and enhancing the image of Radiography in Nigeria and across the West African sub-region.

The induction ceremony witnessed the presence of academic leaders, distinguished guests, families, and friends who celebrated the achievements of the new professionals. The event also served as a reminder of RRBN’s mandate to maintain a comprehensive register of all Radiographers in Nigeria while advancing continuous professional development in the field.

The new inductees expressed their excitement and readiness to contribute their skills to Nigeria’s health system, with renewed dedication to patient-centered care.
