ONWUEGBUCHU, EBERE OBINNA hails from Ezeoke Nsu in Ehime-Mbano LGA of Imo State. He holds B.Sc. Degree in Medical Radiography (1998) from University of Calabar, Diploma in Food Technology (1992) from Federal Polytechnic Owerri, and PGD Management Studies from Obafemi Awolowo University Ile-Ife. He also holds Diploma in Project Management (2013) – Federal Information Resource Centre and PGCCT (2017) from Nigerian Institute of Radiography. Other qualifications include PGD Ultrasonography and Bachelor of laws Degree (LLB).
He has versed working experience in radiography and administration having at various times served as Office Manager with Marshal International Contractors Ltd Apapa Lagos, Senior Medical Radiographer with EKO Hospital Ltd Ikeja Lagos, Senior Medical Radiographer with Lagoon Hospital Apapa Lagos and Senior Medical Radiographer with Havana Specialist Hospital Surulere Lagos. He Joined Radiographers Registration Board of Nigeria (RRBN) in January 2006 and having worked briefly in the Registration and Monitoring Department, the management on identification of his immense managerial skill posted him to Administration Department in 2007 and would later make him the Head of Administration in the same year based on his outstanding performance. He also served as Special Assistant to the Registrar/Chief Executive. He was in 2010 posted to the Inspection & Monitoring Department. In 2013 he was transferred to Port Harcourt Zonal Office (covering South-South Nigeria) as the Pioneer Head of the Port Harcourt Zonal office. In 2017 he was transferred to Abuja as Head of Inspection and Monitoring Department. Onwuegbuchu E.O. is married with children. His hobbies include reading, writing, travelling, playing football and tennis.
